We are delighted that Dr. Chris Brown has become our patron. He is a Senior Lecturer at UCL Institute of Education. Chris has extensive experience of leading large scale research projects, designed to help teachers identify and scale up effective educational practice. He has also written four books (including ‘Leading the Use of Research and Evidence in schools’), and regularly presents and key notes on a range of educational topics in Europe, and North America. In 2015 Chris was awarded the American Educational Research Association ‘Emerging Scholar’ award (Education Change SIG). Chris was also been awarded the 2016 AERA Excellence in Research to practice award and the UCEA Jeffrey V. Bennett Outstanding International Research award. Chris grew up in a deprived area of Southampton and firmly believes in the role of education and organizations such as the Children’s University in driving social mobility by enabling children to achieve their full potential.
